Dr. Fareeha Hafeez is a sleep medicine and pulmonary disease specialist. Her special interest includes obstructive sleep apnea, intolerance to CPAP therapy and insomnia. She also manages COPD, asthma, lung cancer, sarcoidosis and other respiratory diseases.
Dr.Hafeez is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Sleep Medicine.
Dr.Hafeez also specialized in sleep medicine at University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan.
She completed her residency in internal medicine followed by fellowship in pulmonary diseases at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at Harlem Hospital in NY. She went on to complete her sleep medicine fellowship at University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan.
From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Hafeez served as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University-New York where she investigated the impact of traffic-related air pollution among asthmatic and non-asthmatic children. She has presented this and other research work at American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
