Yahya Dikengil, MD

Dr. Yahya Dikengil is a distinguished physician specializing in sleep medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care, and internal medicine. He is board certified in all four specialties, a testament to his extensive expertise and his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Dr. Dikengil earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and completed his residency and fellowships at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

With decades of experience, Dr. Dikengil has held numerous prestigious leadership positions throughout his career. He has served as a Director at several prominent medical institutions and currently serves as the Director of Sleep Medicine at Secaucus University Hospital (formerly Hudson Regional Hospital). Deeply committed to the future of medicine, he is actively involved in the clinical teaching and supervision of residents and fellows at multiple area hospitals. In these roles, he mentors the next generation of physicians.

When Dr. Dikengil reached the point where he was ready to step away from actively working in the office seeing patients he personally requested that the team at NorthJersey Pulmonary Associates take over the care of his patients. This transition reflects the deep trust and professional confidence he has in our clinical team to continue his legacy of high-quality care. Today, at North Jersey Pulmonary Associates, Dr. Dikengil oversees the sleep medicine program, providing vital supervisory oversight and strategic guidance. While he is no longer seeing patients at this office, his role remains pivotal in mentoring our medical staff and ensuring that our sleep diagnostic and treatment protocols remain at the cutting edge of the field. A fluent speaker of both English and Turkish, Dr. Dikengil’s vast clinical knowledge and leadership continue to be an invaluable asset to the North Jersey community.
